As the Northern Hemisphere heads towards a freezing cold winter without Russian gas and oil due to sanctions, the people wonder how they will survive without heating.
The UK is preparing its citizens for surging energy price increases, speaking with a UK resident Jane Robinson from Northern England “I have been putting extra money into my utility account. But from what the government is telling me, my electricity will go from 80 pounds to around 2000 pounds per month”
When asked what will she and her friend do she replied: “They are all saying that they can’t and won’t pay it” she went on to say “At that price, I will not be able to feed myself or my son, it’s crazy” she said.
At the same time, the UK government is sending Billions of pounds worth of weapons to Ukraine.
The Uk government is also paying Ukrainine “Refugees” to live in the UK and supplies them payment vouchers to spend. Jane who works in a charity shop said “they come in all wearing designer clothes and buy things with the government-issued vouchers”
Jane is disillusioned with her government, “They spend all this money on non-English citizens at the expense of people born in the UK” she said.
The resentment of foreigners getting more than UK nationals is growing, “You can see it at the supermarket, we count every penny while they fill up their trollies and just give the cashier a voucher, it’s disgusting how we are been treated.”Jane stated with disappointment in her voice.
“I think it’s great to help people in need but we (Natives) are going to freeze this winter or die of starvation trying to keep warm.” Jane who has lived abroad for many years knows how hard it was for her as a “Foreigner” in a foreign land to make ends meet, but now back in the UK I am treated as a 2nd class citizen.
