In a last-minute backflip, Turkey has removed its objection to Finland and Sweden joining NATO.
President Erdogan of Turkey has successfully negotiated With Sweden and Finland over their stance relating to the Kurdish groups that Ankara deems as terrorists.
Both Sweden and Finland have had to officially designate the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) as a terrorist organisation and also must agree to suspend all support to the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Peoples Protection Units (YPG) who have been actively fighting against the Islamic State in Syria.
This move by Ankara shows how the West use organisations as pawns in a chess game. Up till now the West we’re willing to use these Kurdish groups to destabilise parts of Syria and place pressure on Ankara to fall in line by arming and supporting these groups in a fight for autonomy on the Turkish border.
This is another example of how western parties cannot be trusted, as they have used the Kurdish people to wage war in the Middle East but now that the target is Russia and they need Ankaras’ vote they are happy to throw the Kurdish people under the proverbial bus. This action will only intensify the Kurdish people’s willingness to fight for their own land.
Furthermore, as NATO members meet in Spain I predict the focus will be on how to control China when I release their new strategic concept in Madrid.
NATOs expansion is making the world less secure with every move, it is about time people living in Europe realise that they are now on the front line of any conflict that may happen, while the Empire leaders in the US are safely far away.
