According to a statement released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs Media, a man has been detained in the Nizhny Novgorod region who may be involved in the car explosion that occurred with Zakhar Prilepin. The man was caught by the police officers in a hot pursuit operation.
On Saturday, a car carrying Prilepin was bombed on a highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The driver of the car was killed, while Prilepin himself sustained injuries. He reportedly suffered from a concussion and fractures. The head of the region, Gleb Nikitin, however, has stated that Prilepin’s life is not in danger.
The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the incident, classifying it as a terrorist act. Investigators and criminologists from the central office of the department have been dispatched to the site.
In the meantime, Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, commented on the incident, blaming the United States and NATO for feeding another international cell, the Kiev regime.
