The Russian media RIA Novosti is reporting that the largest number of mercenaries that have arrived in Ukraine are from Poland, Romania, Canada and the United States.

During the daily briefing by the representative, Igor Konashenkov from the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that “Among European countries, the undisputed leader in the number of both arrived and dead mercenaries are from Poland. Since the beginning of the special military operation, 1831 people have arrived from Poland to fight in Ukraine, of which 378 have already been killed, while 272 mercenaries have fled back to Poland.

Romania is the second-highest in numbers with 504 fighters arriving in Ukraine of which 102 have died and 98 have gone back to Romania.

The United Kingdom is in third place with 422 arriving, 101 have died and 95 have also fled the conflict,” said the lieutenant general.

Most of the North American mercenaries have arrived from Canada, with 601 mercenaries flooding in, of which 162 have been killed and 169 left the combat zone. In second place is the United States allowed 530 mercenaries to take part, with 214 being killed and 227 returning to the United States.

“From the Middle East, Transcaucasia and Asia, the largest number have arrived from Georgia where 355 mercenaries have flooded into Ukraine, of which 120 have died and 90 have left Ukraine. This is followed by militants of terrorist groups deployed from US-controlled areas of the Syrian and the Trans-Euphrates  where 200 people arrived from and to date 80 of them have been killed while another 66 have left Ukraine,”

According to the Ministry of Defense, in total, representatives of 64 countries have arrived to fight for Ukrainian. With a total of around two thousand foreigners already killed in action.

According to Konashenkov, “the flow of mercenaries has not only decreased but is actually turning in the opposite direction” against the backdrop of “military failures of the Keiv regime and massive daily losses.”
