The Ukrainian military, retreating from Lisichansk, has left behind a trail of prohibited mines, Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic Andrei Marochko told RIA Media.
“The armed forces of Ukraine continued to lay prohibited mines in and around the area of the settlement of Lisichansk, these mines are anti-personal mines that are prohibited by the UN. This is not the first time that advancing Russian and DPK/LPR forces have found such ammunition.
Last month as the Russian DPK forces advanced on Matriulpol they encountered many of the same anti-personal mines that Ukraine had said they had disposed of all their stockpile several years earlier in line with the UN prohibition of anti-personal mines.
This blatant deception to the world demonstrates that Ukraine believes that it is above the law, and while the NATO alliance backs Ukraine they seem to be able to get away with possessing and using banned anti-personal mines.
Meanwhile, the UN hears claims from Ukraine that Russian forces targeted a shopping centre, however, Russia denies those claims stating that the fire at the shopping centre was started from ammunition exploding in a warehouse some 70 metres away from the shopping centre Russia had destroyed.
When the UN continues to hear only what the West wants them to hear it is about time that the UN is disbanded and a new entity that gives an equal voice to all nations is established away from the West’s controlling influences.
