As the west ratchets up the narrative that Russia is to blame for the lack of wheat and grains from Ukraine, the Russian media is reporting that Ukraine forces set fire to 50 thousand tons of grain.

On June 6 2022 RIA Novosti reported that as the Ukrainian troops retreated from the port of Mariupol they made sure the grain that was waiting to be shipped was destroyed before it fell into the hands of the forces of the Donetsk Peoples Republic.

The report goes on to say that the grain was in the storage facilities of the Mariupol seaport when it was destroyed by fire,50 thousand tons of grain is now unfit for both human and livestock consumption.

This all comes as the media in the West spew out story after story about Russia stopping the shipment of grain and as a result causing a shortage of grain worldwide.

The US government is also warning African countries to not buy Russian grain as they claim it is stolen grain from Ukraine. This narrative of food shortages based on Ukraine’s ability to harvest and supply its grain is a scare tactic designed to rally the populous behind that Russophobia gripping western nations.

This narrative that the world will fall into famine is shattered when you look at wheat production by country from 1961 to 2019.

It shows that Ukraine produced approximately 24 million tons of wheat in 2019, and we are told that if that 24 million ton of wheat is not available then the world will fall into famine.

However, the statistics show that between 1997 and 2003 China decreased its wheat production from 123 million tons to 86 million tons. (A reduction of 39 million tons)

This all took place as world populations increased and with no famine. Another example is the US wheat production from 2000 to 2002 in which their wheat production decreased from 61 million tons down to 43 million tons, (A reduction of 18 million tons) again no worldwide famine. Keep in mind that the world’s wheat production in 2019 was 731 million tons which were down 30 million tons from 761 million tons in 2018.

I question if all the wheat from Ukraine does not make it to market 24 million tons (which I highly doubt) means we are going to have worldwide famine, then why did we not have a famine in 2019 when world production decreased by 30 million tons.

It seems that it is all designed to keep us focused on hating Russia.
