The Keiv Regime has again shown how no one or nothing will get in its way when it comes to attempting to portray Russia in a bad light.

Under the dictatorship of Zelensky, his office attempted to stop the return to Germany of a vital part of Nordstream 1 that was being repaired in Canada.

Nord Stream 1 is the original pipeline that has reliably supplied gas to Germany for many years, the turbine that was made by Siemens and which was sent to Canada for repairs, was the focus of Zelensky’s attack. He attempted to have Canada hold the turbine, claiming that it was part of sanctions placed on Russia.

This turbine has reduced the flow of gas to Germany by 60 %, resulting in higher prices for consumers and jeopardises Germany’s plans to fill gas storage facilities through Summer.

On June 14, Gazprom announced, “We are forced to reduce supplies via Nord Stream compared to the plan due to the untimely return of Siemens gas pumping units after identifying technical engine malfunctions and subsequent repairs.”

Siemens claimed that after repair, one of the gas turbines cannot be returned to Germany from Montreal due to Canadian sanctions against Russia.

At the same time, Kyiv claims that Russia can continue to supply gas in full without the turbine, using the transit capacity of Ukraine, and hence called on Canada not to return the turbine.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz successfully discussed the need for the turbine and after much deliberation, Canada has agreed to return the turbine, which is necessary for the full operation of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline.

In response, the Ukrainian authorities called on Canada to reverse its decision.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are “deeply disappointed” by Canada’s intention to return the turbine to Germany.

The agency’s website said in a statement, “The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine express their deep disappointment in connection with the decision of the Government of Canada to issue a permit for the return to Germany of the Nord Stream turbines repaired by Siemens .”

This action by the Zenlensky government was designed to turn the German people against Russia, using the lack of gas as a catalyst to sow more anti-Russian sentiment amongst Europeans.

But with the Lower Saxony state election being held on 9 October 2022, and with the growing discontent with the ruling class, the current German government needs this gas to quell any negative results at the polling booths.

It seems that Zelensky has lost another battle and at the same time he has shown to the German people that it is not Russia hurting them, instead, it is the US NATO-backed regime in Kiev.
